I see the charges were withdrawn for now, but if I understand correctly it's only because somebody reminded the prosecutors that Roe v Wade is still in effect and the woman had a constitutional right to an abortion. They jumped the gun a little, apparently, but after Roe falls, probably in the next few months, all bets are off.

Conservative prosecutors, especially Conservative Christian prosecutors, want to put women in prison for having abortions, and once the hyper conservative Supreme Court green lights them, they're going to be doing it a lot more often.

Abortion laws all over the country will go into effect again, and and prosecutors are going to have a field day.

Where we are headed right now as a nation is very frightening. Praise Jesus and his Texas Christian soldiers. The Inquisition's back in town.
