I read this with a certain ironic retrospect, thinking about homeless refugees recently dropped off in Washington DC in the middle of an unprecedented December cold snap, most of them without winter coats, many of them in sandals and flip-flops.

These refugees were sent to DC by Republican politicians in Texas, all of whom wear loud Christianity on their sleeves as they persecute refugees, LGBTQ people, and anyone else who doesn't meet their judgmental Christian requirements.

Those sorts of conservative Christians count among the most immoral, horrible human beings in the United States. They make it easy to believe that Christians in general are truly horrible people.

Obviously, most conservative Christians really are judgmental and fundamentally cruel. Reading your article is a helpful reminder that not all Christians are conservative.

I'm encouraged to read about your blanket project, and I hope it does stir conversations and action.
