I prepare okra for my dad, because he learned to love it in the South. But while I am a very adventurous eater and can learn to like almost anything, with reason, I just cannot do okra. Oh, it’s fine as a thickening agent in gumbo or some other stew. But just eaten? On its own? Sorry, I don’t get it. ;-)
