I own three cast iron skillets. Two of them I inherited from my dad, who had taken careful care of them for many years. I found the third one in the garage, where somebody had apparently forgotten to unpack it or something. It was pretty rusty, but it only took about an hour to get it reconditioned and then a little time to season it. Before long, it was in perfect condition again.
I've been on a huge sourdough kick lately, and I can't believe I ever bought bread. The sandwich bread I bake is so flavorful! So is the focaccia, the dinner rolls, and the pizza.
But I have not yet combined my love of sourdough and cast iron into a cast iron pizza. I'll have to try that. Thanks!
