I often write that it’s more important to be good than to be nice.

Niceness is social lubricant. It’s a way to paper over problems, and it has it uses.

But if we’re EVER to get down to the nitty gritty, ugly details of all the shit that needs fixed, being nice gets in the way.

That’s what I think, anyway.
