I often write about mental health problems among LGBTQ youth, and I’ve noticed a general trend in a negative direction.
But I don’t know if it’s a function of better data collection or an actual change in how kids are doing.
Your article caught my attention because lots of experts are thinking that LGBTQ youth in rural and conservative areas are more vulnerable, especially in the last few years with increasing American polarity. So seeing these numbers out of Philadelphia is rather sobering.
Urban bubbles are generally supposed to be better environments for youth who identify as LGBTQ.
