I never tried coloring my hair, because I'm a dirty blond, and once the gray started coming in, it almost matched my natural hair color anyway. Well, it matched it enough that it wasn't all that noticeable. Until it was sitting on the floor of a barber shop. 🤣

Now that my hair is almost totally gray, I'm experimenting with the bald look. I don't think that experiment is going to last. But who knows? I guess it depends on how I react to my own aging look. I won't color my hair, because at my age it would look ridiculously unnatural. (And in my mind, perhaps wrongly, undignified.)

Plenty of women and men touch up their hair color, especially as we get older. I think your wife's reaction is a tad ... overdone?

Maybe she's more worried about your increasing feminization than women's primping in general?
