I might add from my own experience as an LGBTQ activist with a presence on Facebook that Facebook will not enforce their own published community standards with respect to anti-LGBTQ harassment.

They allow it to exist and persist, ignoring reports of even the most blatant homophobia and transphobia.

Last year, when a celebrated Lebanese singer who happens to be a lesbian died of suicide, Facebook allowed literally hundreds of insulting comments to be left up under memorials to her, comments that even included religious calls for the death of LGBTQ people.

Facebook knows the problem exists because hundreds of us reported the problem. But they refuse to act. And that’s just one blatant example of the toxic environment they tolerate.

If there is any Big Tech corporation in the world it is more intentionally evil than Facebook, I can’t imagine which corporation it would be.

Facebook’s executives are moral monsters.
