I mean, they can try to launch a civil war if they want, but what a lot of us forget in these gerrymandered days is that the Republican Party doesn't represent anything like a majority of Americans. Far from it. I'm not saying that disillusioned conservatives couldn't cause a lot of trouble. They certainly could! And some of them obviously want to. But they don't have the numbers to win a brute force tactic like that.
