For decades, at least since the beginning of the HIV epidemic, we gay men have been debating the adulation of penetrative sex.

We argue about sexual roles, elevate the hotness of genital frottage and skin-to-skin pleasure. We talk about how we need to be exploring a full spectrum of eroticism and not just aping heterosexual norms.

We even have a word for it. “Heteronormative.”

And now here you are urging (quite rightly!) opposite-sex couples to expand beyond the presumption of penetration.
