I like how the management of the magazine that closed subs were very direct criticizing the "side hustle" coaches who are urging people to submit AI-generated short stories to make a fast buck.
Some of those soi disant "experts" are busy right here on Medium making money (or trying to) by writing articles about how others can make money.
They bounce from one hustle to the next, even selling workshops that start off as free but almost invariably end up requiring payment to get access to the supposed good stuff.
A handful of Medium's most popular writer do this. Their only real writing substance is advice about how to get rich with little effort, but if you look closely, the only thing going on is that the side-hustle coaches are getting rich, not their clients.
I guess that's just human nature. A sucker born every minute and all. But as you point out here, the "coaches' " AI advice isn't just worthless, it's likely to harm anyone who follows it.
