I learned to love Eurovision when I lived in Berlin and Montreal. No American approximation will ever come close or be able to compete.

Have no fear! Most Americans don’t and won’t “get” what makes Eurovision so special — so spectacularly kitsch while simultaneously serious, passionate, and wonderful.
