I learned a long time ago, I think sometime back in the Neolithic when I went to college, that one response to grief can be increased sexual desire.

I’m sure the psychology is complex, and may vary from person to person, but your response is entirely normal. It doesn’t make you a bad person, it makes you a human responding to loss.

I hope you know that.

My dog, who was my dad’s best friend until Dad died a couple of months ago, is 13 years old. That’s very, very old for an English pointer.

While he isn’t ill in any way, I worry a lot. When he goes, I’m going to grieve terribly.

And if I get horny? That’s okay.
