I know you mean well, but I wonder if you would mind considering how this sentence could be read as homophobic. It's one thing to make fun of clerics for their archaic clothing, but when that becomes a mocking of men who transgress traditional standards of gendered dress it's, well, not very uplifting to men who don't uphold traditional gender standards.
What I mean is, the joke is funny in a way, but it wouldn't land without homophobic cultural ideas that give it its bite.
