I keep jelly feeders out all summer for Baltimore orioles, and I'm getting absolutely swarmed with juveniles right now. I think they're fattening up before their long trip back down south for the winter. It's quite lovely to see them all even though they aren't as pretty as adult males. And I'm looking forward to next spring when they return. For a week or two every spring, it's an absolute oriole circus around here.
Ruby throated hummingbirds are also fattening up for the migration, and my nectar feeders are busier than usual.
Lovely time of year!
