I just published a story yesterday about a young trans man who was shot several times by a powerful pellet gun and hospitalized after being called anti-gay, anti-trans slurs in a random street attack ... at night, in his wheelchair, in quite a nice, safe Detroit suburb.

I call the attack terrorism, and I believe it's a direct, inevitable consequence of rightwing anti-trans rhetoric.

You simply cannot spread hate speech and suppose people won't act on it.
