I’m going to tweet and tag Reclaim Pride NY and some other alternative Pride organizations that are working hard to remind people that Pride is Protest.

It seems like too many of us have fallen into the dangerous thinking exemplified by the organizers in Edmonton. They apparently think Pride needs to be some kind of lame, “safe” celebration instead of the fierce fight for equality and freedom that it was born as.
