I just can’t wrap my minds around those who want to restrict abortion for women who need abortion. I don’t get it emotionally, intellectually or in any other way.

The whole Catholic thing is interesting though, at least in the United States. It doesn’t quite work the way you might think it would.

This is what I mean: the percentage of self-identified Catholics here who also identify as Latino or Hispanic are very very likely to be pro-choice. They are much more likely than white Catholics to be pro-choice.

Curiously, the same thing goes for LGBTQ rights. Hispanic or Latino Catholics here in the United States are overwhelmingly likely to support LGBTQ rights — more likely than the general American population and much more likely than white Catholics.

It’s a puzzlement, and one I’m not sure I have an explanation for.
