I just came from reading an amazingly thoughtless article about how Japan has historically persecuted Christians in order to keep Christianity from becoming a meaningful force in the nation.

The author cited 16th and 17th century Japanese rationale about resisting colonization and slavery. He implied that the Japanese were just inventing those fears!

I'm continuously astonished by how blind and stupid Christians can be.
