Amen. I get tons of feedback on the articles I write, especially since some of them started going viral in the LA Blade, and while I expect people to debate politics and disagree with some of my positions, most of my negative feedback is more in line with what you're talking about in your article today. It's intensely personal and highly homophobic or transphobic – on quite an irrational level. It's just hate.

I don't have any idea why people feel so caught up personally and emotionally that they have to reach out to a stranger with hate like they did with you here. I don't understand why they presume they know more about how you think and feel than you know.

But I wish they'd stop. I wish they'd target their hate and anger on some other scapegoat. Cuz I'm pretty damn tired, as I imagine you are.
