I have to respectively disagree with how you phrase this sentence. Obviously, any human being who believes in the equality and dignity of LGBTQ people could choose to be vocal about that. Any nun or priest who to chooses not to be vocal does so out of fear of their comfortable life being disrupted.

I feel nothing but hatred and disgust toward cowards like that, especially given that they label me as depraved. They are the depraved ones. The silent ones are the depraved ones.

Remember that woman in the Detroit archdiocese who lost her pension because she’s a lesbian?

Do you know how many nuns and priests marched in protest over that? Not a single one. Zero. This woman’s life was destroyed, and not a single nun or priest cared enough to risk their own comfort. To risk facing the fact that if they protested (if they behaved with human decency and morality) they might have to seek other employment.

I think this explains in a nutshell my position.
