I have sometimes wondered if some TERFs (trans exclusionary radical feminists) are operating from a motivation of true misandry.

Clearly, not all are — but many of the most vehement people who object to trans women sharing women’s spaces can seem suspiciously (just by analyzing the language they use) hateful of men in the true sense of hate towards a class.

The incidence of violence (sexual or otherwise) committed by trans women is so incredibly rare that finding reports of it is almost impossible.

TERFs end up using the same (literally) 2 or 3 incidents from over the past several decades to decry trans women as “men” who pose an inevitable, severe threat to women just by sake of a presumed biological maleness.

Some of them are likely sincere but misinformed. Others — well, the rage they express toward trans women is so potent that true misandry looks probable.
