I have never been able to wrap my head around the judicial decisions that have made religious language possible in our institutions and symbols of government.

Our constitution is clear: no establishment of religion. Trusting in God is religious, no matter how you slice it. Yet somehow, people have managed to forget about those parts of the Constitution they find inconvenient. So establishe religion, we do, with gusto.

Those crazed racist, homophobic fools who invaded Washington mostly believe the absurd notion that the United States was founded as a Christian nation … and remains a Christian nation.

They’ve swallowed the Kool-Aid.

Removing religious language from all governmental buildings and symbols wouldn’t fix the problem, but it sure would be a fabulous start and send a fabulous message.

Let’s send these Christian nationalists a clear and unequivocal signal that we are in no way a Christian nation and that we will never establish religion.
