I had some tofu myself for dinner last night, though it's not something I usually eat. Red meat is now strictly off my diet, however, and so are most fatty fish, so I'm learning to adapt. Unlike your heat and humidity, it's been very chilly here, sort of a premature start to autumn. So I put together a spicy chicken broth with tofu and broccoli. Very nice with fresh bread. And warming!

My birds are slowly starting to take off in your direction now. I haven't seen any orioles in three or four days, so I presume they've left for the season. Hummingbirds are still hanging around, though come to think of it, I haven't seen any this morning. It's about time for them to pack their bags and then fly south and all the way across the Gulf of Mexico. I can't believe they do that!

I'm glad you're hanging in there, though I know it's difficult. Glad to read your weekly musings.
