I guess that varies state to state, because where I live in Michigan, certain voter drives have concentrated on former felons who have finished their sentences. If I'm not mistaken, people convicted of crimes in Michigan are eligible to vote again as soon as they finish their prison sentence and any parole or probation.

But I know that that's not the same everywhere!
