I guess it's a matter of personal taste. I couldn't stop turning Swamplandia's pages, and as soon as I finished, I started over so I could enjoy more of its subtleties. A good reason to be glad publishing is so diverse. One man's pleasure is another's poison. Which is all for the better, I suppose. :-)
