I followed this case for a few days before I even knew the woman who disappeared is transgender. I mean, that's fine. Her trans identity shouldn't have to be anybody's business.

Except that it turns out the local police didn't care about her because she's trans. That's why the superintendent of police has been relieved of duty.

What a sad world we live in!
