I find this quite shocking. While I have read a bit about required sterilization, I would not have guessed six European countries would be among those requiring it.

I especially would not have guessed Finland would have been involved.

It’s interesting how the issue is so tied up with sexism and even racism. The idea that some people in the Finnish government view Finnish women as white-baby-making machines says a lot about how queer people’s problems intersect with the problems of other marginalized people.

Also, why on Earth would anyone care if a trans man has a baby? It’s hard for me to personally understand how or why anyone would become emotionally caught up in something that has nothing to do with them.
