I find that all too true today in the US. Christians here aren’t ready now for resistance to evil, and I doubt they ever will be. They have, generally speaking, been dragged kicking and screaming toward more compassionate ways, trailing the rest of the culture significantly.

And that’s the so-called “progressive” Christians. Everybody else is even worse!
