I entirely dispute the notion that a transcendent function of any kind exists. You can try to use fancy words, but I'm just going to say it's superstitious bunk.

Spirits are not real, and nobody has ever shown any evidence to suggest that they are.

I suspect you might be using some different kind of meaning that you aren't explaining, but if you are you should probably explain it.

As far as I'm concerned spirits and spirituality are just so much nonsense that nobody has ever been able to even come close to demonstrating.

When religious people talk about spirituality, of course, they are absolutely talking about. It's exactly what they mean.

If there's some other completely different definition, I'm sure I don't know what it is.

If you think you just provided a definition, you didn't. As far as I can figure out, you didn't say anything that means anything at all.
