I don't suggest that personal style choices don't matter, I just assert that we don't reduce to personal style choices.
Or identities are much more important than the clothing we wear.
Which is why I don't like the idea of "culturally queer." I think that idea suggests that our personal fashion choices are more important than they actually are.
I'm not all heated up about it or anything, and I'm glad Giulio wrote with a moderate, non-judgemental tone.
I just think he was pointing out something important that we should all think about.
