I don't know if Matt Walsh supports or would support fascism. I think he clearly has some fascist ideas going on, but whether or not he would support authoritarian or totalitarian government is kind of a side issue for me.
What seems central is that he's inciting what Jeet Heer in The Nation calls a "lynching culture" targeting LGBTQ people – then blaming us for the toxic rhetoric and bad acts of those targeting us.
That's exactly what Walsh did in the wake of the Club Q massacre, and that's a serious problem whether or not he would support fascism.
