I don't know. I pay close attention and I think most cops are evil people. I've watched too many brutal bodycam videos to buy the "few bad apples" argument. The culture itself is brutal and cruel. Cops are taught to be brutal and cruel.

You can often hear them expressing pride in themselves for their brutality and cruelty.

Like I say, it's the culture.

That's really reinforced when police departments and police unions back up their officers for brutal and cruel behavior.

You practically never see meaningful discipline, unless and until the public gets involved by viewing bodycam videos and expressing their outrage.

I don't know how things got to this point, with police departments becoming militarized and cops running around in armor, brutalizing people at the drop of a pin. But we have a big problem on our hands as a nation, because this really is where we are right now.
