I don't actually think religion is a tax-free real estate play. I think Evangelical Christians and other Christians actually are evil homophobic bigots who sincerely and self righteously stigmatize, discriminate against, and hurt LGBTQ people because they think that's the right thing to do. Because their religion is evil and disgusting. And they like it.
