I do the same, write for fellow queer people, I mean. But I’ve found that I’m also engaging and firing up true allies, which is critical to our struggle. It’s encouraging that so many people are with us. They WANT to know what’s going on and how they can help. People like Kay Bolden, Sherry Kappel, Mike Develle, kurt gasbarra, and anna breslin represent hope for real and genuine change, not the sort of equivocating change you’re decrying.
And you guys that I mentioned, if you don’t know Emily Swan yet, please let me have the honor and privilege of introducing the Evangelical world’s first ordained LGBTQ minister — until the “progressive” Vineyard movement fired her for marrying her wife.
I’m not saying she’d be perfect for certain publications or anything, but she’s a strong woman with a powerful, eloquent voice. :-)
