I could not agree more. Members of law enforcement are entrusted with great responsibility, even to the point of inflicting great bodily harm on people and even killing people. With the tremendous powers they possess, they absolutely must restrain themselves and behave with as much respect and decorum as possible.

Dehumanizing people like this isn't just bad for the people being dehumanized, it has a toxic effect on police officers, desensitizing them to the humanity of the people they're supposed to be serving.
