I can't tell you how shocked I was when I read the breaking news in the Los Angeles Times. The most shocking part is that this unapologetic racist did not resign from the city council.

It's rare to hear racism like this spoken out loud by a public figure. It's rare to hear a politician being this overtly cruel and disgusting.

Clearly, this woman has serious problems with morality and decency. She is, to put it simply, a piece of racist trash.

But she's going to try to brazen it out and keep her elected position.

If the city council doesn't take action, if voters let her remain, a real travesty will have been done.

Look, this isn't just some heat of the moment thing. Nobody says vicious racist things like that in the heat of the moment without having thought of them many times.
