I can’t speak for everyone in the queer community, but many of us, especially the most frightened of us (and Black trans women tend to be very frightened) are loathe to argue to justify our existence. If a trans person says somebody is behaving in a transphobic way, perhaps that trans person deserves to be listened to respectfully.
