I can't even get away from it on YouTube! I watch sailing videos in the evening before bed. A slightly weird habit, I suppose, but I find it relaxing. My other weird YouTube pursuit is watching videos of French pop music.

I don't use YouTube to consume news or to explore LGBTQ topics. So, the YouTube algorithm is not trained to show me stuff about trans people, especially not trans kids.

Every couple days, however, YouTube feeds me a pretty vile anti-trans ad. Dark, scary music, somber voices. Warnings of "social contagion" and "genital mutilation."

The ad is by the hyper-consetvative Epoch Times, and even though I've reported it as going against community guidelines several times, YouTube just keeps feeding it to me, and presumably to lots and lots of other people.
