I can relate to so much of this! My own last girlfriend came a little earlier in life than yours did, but it feels so much the same.

The same Evangelical culture seemed to offer me a pass from physicality. Only she expected what everyone expected … that I would push against the “rules” and struggle with temptation.

Only I wasn’t tempted, and she could tell.

And so it goes …
