I believe you’ve responded to the wrong article. My essay has nothing to do with partisan politics, and isn’t even necessarily about the United States. The issues I’m writing about have to do with racism and homophobia being morally equivilent to one another.

I’m not playing any cards, and I’m not interested in organized political parties.

I’m interested, rather, in not being an approved societal scapegoat due to my sexual orientation.

In fact, my friend Fred Shirley clapped for my essay and he’s a Brit. I don’t think American politics had anything to do with his agreeing or not with what I wrote.

And while Eric Griggs is an American, he probably isn’t motivated by partisan issues either.

The Democratic Party of the United States doesn’t have anything to do with what I wrote.
