I am sincerely holding back on an instinct to crow here. I’m also holding back on an instinct to insert an lol. I’m a gay man who as a child was raised in an Evangelical Christian world. I’ve internalized more hate and toxins than you could possibly imagine. I know intimately how much Christians hate me. I never stop understanding how much Christians just fucking despise me.

But unlike you and most Christians, I’ve read the Bible cover to cover many times, obsessively, over and over. It’s hard for me to imagine anyone who hasn’t. It’s hard for me to imagine people commenting on the Bible and calling for my moral condemnation who haven’t read competing translations in opposition to one another.

I’m trying not to be too harsh because generally I enjoy your perspectives about Biblical studies.

But I just lost a lot of respect for you. If you haven’t read the entire bible, you need to be quiet. You need to shut the fuck up and listen to people like me who have.

And that goes for all sorts of Christians. Seriously, you haven’t read the entire Bible? You haven’t studied the entire Bible? I’m just stunned. Fuck you, man. Seriously, fuck you.
