I am more liberal and progressive now than I ever was. I started out my young adult life as a registered Republican with extremely conservative ideas. By the time I was in my mid-20s I identified as a moderate Democrat. Now, pushing 60, my politics align most closely with Bernie Sanders and AOC.

I don’t know that it’s true most people become more conservative as they age, and I know for sure that it doesn’t happen all the time.
