I agree with your witness, and I praise you for it. But as for New Ways Ministry, I cannot help but associate it with the priest James Martin, who to my horror has suggested that queer people accept language in the Catechism the characterizes us as disordered. I sincerely wish I could spit in that evil man’s face.

His defense of the “disordered” language is both despicable and revolting. I spent a lot of time reading one of his articles talking about how it’s okay to call us disordered because the discorded language ie philosophical rather than theological. During the course of my reading, my desire to curse him out mounted and mounted and mounted and mounted. Fuck him.

He’s a pig trying to convince us queer people to accept horrific abuse in the name of “building bridges.” As far as I’m concerned, Martin can fuck himself up his own ass with those bridges until he bleeds to death.

If anything illustrates the Catholic Church’s evil with respect to us queer people, it’s Martin’s embrace. He’s supposed to be our ally, but but he affirms over and over again that he accepts Catholic theology.

Given he’s pretty much the public face of New Ways Ministry, anything they do or say must be suspect. Because the Catholic theology Martin says he accepts is revolting and horrifying.
