I agree with Saoirse that this resonates. Although in my case, it resonates because I'm a fairly typical cis- gay man — i.e., not all that traditionally masculine, something that my family and peers pressured me about my entire childhood and adolescence.

People across gender spectrums feel a lot of pressure to perform gender in particular ways, whether they want to or not.
