How inspiring! I mean, it's a bit cliche to speak of lemonade from lemons and so forth, but your story is a great reminder that we can sometimes choose how to react to adversity, and that we should always be open to the possibility of unexpected joy and fulfillment.

I'm thinking about how COVID and my father's final illness led me to write a story about a long-departed friend, and how that story led me to a friendship with you, which I value very much.
