How gorgeous!
I’ll never forget a few hours I spent strolling a system of boardwalks over wetlands off the Tamiami Trail.
I saw so many beautiful birds, as well as otters frolicking near three enormous gators. The largest had to be 12 ft long if he was a foot.
The gators looked so lazy and so gorgeous with the sun glittering off the small plates of their armor to make them look multicolored and iridescent.
I wanted to shout out to the otters and birds to stay as far away as possible. But they seemed to know exactly what they were doing, feeding peaceably while staying out of snatching range.
That afternoon is imprinted indelibly on my memory, and your gorgeous photos helps bring it all back.
Thanks!
Oh, by the way we’ve had some unusual ducks migrating through as the ice melts on our pond. Do you ever see any like these?
