Let's not forget that what these students are protesting is the fact that over 35,000 civilians have died, and they died quite horrible deaths. Some thousands more are buried under the rubble, and we won't even know how many until Israel stops its barbaric assault.

Perhaps people as jaundiced and evil as Shafik don't give a shit, but students and a lot of faculty at Columbia sure understand it with crystal clarity.
