How arrogant you are to suggest that I have not thoroughly read Tolkien. I have read is fiction, all of it, many times over since I was a small boy, and I am 60 years old now. I know beyond the slightest doubt that it is not possible to derive Christian teachings from Tolkien's fiction, whether I've read his words on the paper, beyond the paper, or however else you might like to talk about it.

If you're trying to tell me that someone could read his worda and reconstruct Christian teachings from them, I know for certain that you are wrong. Just like I know for certain you are wrong if you believe someone could listen to Bach and reconstruct Christian teachings from his music.

Neither the stories nor the music contain Christian teachings or transmit Christian beliefs, despite your arrogant manner of speaking to me, insinuating that I don't know how to read or listen to music.

You are one of two self-described Tolkien lovers and Catholics in this thread to have behaved abominably to me.

Why do so many people thoroughly despise Christians? Because of arrogant, condescending people like you.

Be gone. We are done here. But I do thank you for showing me that I'm right to despise your religion, not that that will stop me from enjoying the art of Tolkien and Bach.
