If you’ll take a bit of constructive criticism, though, I wonder if you would consider writing an article from the perspective of someone who isn’t an insider.

Before I saw your story, I had never heard of polyvagal theory, and didn’t know what it is or what it purports to do. After reading your story, I find myself in the same boat.

Since I don’t know what the theory is, I don’t really know what is going on.
